Acceptable Use Policy

1. General Obligation
You must use the Platform in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, court orders, professional responsibility rules, and this AUP. You are responsible for ensuring that all Authorized Users under your account also comply with this AUP.
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Platform to:
- generate, submit, or file any document with a court, tribunal, regulatory body, or other governmental authority without independent attorney review and verification of all content, citations, and factual assertions;
- fabricate, forge, or create fraudulent legal documents, court filings, contracts, or other legal instruments;
- generate content intended to deceive a court, tribunal, opposing party, client, regulatory body, or any other person;
- impersonate a licensed attorney or represent to any person that Outputs constitute legal advice from a licensed attorney, unless the Output has been reviewed and adopted by a licensed attorney;
- process data that you do not have the legal right to process, including data subject to a court order, protective order, or contractual restriction that prohibits processing through third-party cloud platforms, unless you have obtained a waiver or authorization;
- process data in violation of applicable privacy laws, including uploading personal information without a lawful basis for processing;
- engage in or facilitate unauthorized practice of law, including using the Platform to provide legal services to third parties without appropriate attorney licensure and supervision;
- generate content that constitutes or facilitates harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination, or violence against any individual or group;
- generate content that exploits, harms, or endangers minors;
- generate content that infringes the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party;
- circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Platform's security features, access controls, usage limits, or content filtering mechanisms;
- use the Platform to develop, train, or improve a competing AI product or service, including by systematic extraction of Outputs, prompt architectures, or analytical methodologies;
- upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Platform or any connected systems;
- use the Platform in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Platform or interfere with any other party's use;
- use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in furtherance of any criminal activity; or
- encourage, instruct, or assist any third party in doing any of the foregoing.
3. Professional Responsibility Requirements
The Platform is designed for use by licensed attorneys and legal professionals. In addition to the professional responsibility provisions in Article V of the Terms of Service, you acknowledge that:
- all Outputs must be independently reviewed, verified, and approved by a licensed attorney before use in any professional context;
- you must verify all legal citations, case holdings, and statutory references in any Output through authoritative legal research databases (Westlaw, Lexis, or equivalent) before reliance;
- you must obtain any client consent required by applicable professional responsibility rules before using the Platform in connection with a client matter; and
- you are solely responsible for determining whether use of the Platform is appropriate for any particular matter, taking into account the nature of the matter, applicable court orders and protective orders, client engagement terms, and the ethical rules governing your practice.
4. Content Standards
All content uploaded to or generated through the Platform must comply with applicable law. You represent that you have the legal right to upload all Subscriber Data and that Subscriber Data does not contain content that violates the rights of any third party.
5. Monitoring and Enforcement
5.1 Enforcement Actions
If Zuben determines, in its reasonable judgment, that a violation of this AUP has occurred, Zuben may, without limitation and without prior notice:
- remove or disable access to content that violates this AUP;
- suspend or terminate the account of the violating Subscriber or Authorized User;
- report the violation to applicable law enforcement or regulatory authorities; and
- pursue any available legal remedies.
5.2 Notice of Enforcement
Zuben will use reasonable efforts to provide notice before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Platform, other users, or third parties, or where notice is prohibited by law.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to support@zubenai.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
7. Consequences of Violation
Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your access to the Platform, forfeiture of prepaid fees, and liability for damages. Serious violations — including fraud, impersonation, and facilitation of criminal activity — may be reported to law enforcement and applicable regulatory authorities, including state bar disciplinary authorities.
8. Updates to This Policy
Zuben may update this AUP at any time by posting a revised version on this page. Unlike the Terms of Service, updates to this AUP do not require thirty (30) days’ advance notice — the AUP is effective immediately upon posting. We will use reasonable efforts to notify Subscribers of material changes by email, but the posted version governs. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the current AUP.
